Are you a born educator? Do you have experience in developing training courses? And last but not least do you want to use your “roll up your sleeves” attitude to accelerate the world’s adoption of solar energy?
Then this opportunity might be just right for you!
All around the globe, Engie (Sungevity’s parent company) is investing in residential solar. As these efforts are increasing, there is a need to spread solar expertise and lessons learned across the Engie Group. This is where the Solar Learning & Development Specialist enters the picture. This function will focus on both setting up the a training platform as well as training all the stakeholders involved.
The Solar Education Platform will be an online and offline resource that you will create. There is a lot of solar knowledge within Engie’s Business Units. Within this role, your main focus is identifying key knowledge and expertise within each Business Unit. At the same time, you will be codifying this knowledge into workshops, documents and courses in such a way that other Business Units can use it to accelerate their solar activities. Of all the information you judge and decide what will be used and what is not. Thanks to your effort, Business Units will be able to more quickly and more efficiently, deploy solar activities worldwide. As part of your role, you will also maintain an online platform through which Business Units communicate with each other.
Your home base is our office in Amsterdam, but you will also travel. You will be part of the innovation hub SPARK and work closely with the Spark team. Our founder, Roebyem leads the team.
Sungevity is one of the world’s leading and fastest growing residential solar companies. We trace the success of our company to four values:
Mission driven: Sungevity’s mission is to accelerate the Rooftop Revolution. Solar is the starting point for more sustainable lifestyles. We are devoted to helping our customers in any way possible to lower their carbon footprint.
People-centric: we are obsessed with customer experience and go out of our way to make going solar an easy and fun experience. This helps spread the word and accelerate solar energy.
Innovation: we are at the forefront of innovation in the solar industry. We invented Remote Solar Design, software that allowed us to do design and speed-engineer solar systems remotely. This allows our customers can go solar without home visit, saving money and time. It’s just one example of a suite of innovations we introduced to speed up the Rooftop Revolution.
Build for scale: Sungevity is part of Engie, which is one of world’s largest utilities with over 27 million customers. By helping Engie Business Units offer solar to their customers, Sungevity can increase its impact and help realise its Big Hairy Audacious Goal to power 5 million lives with sunshine. Creating scale is also where you will be adding value.
Sungevity’s international office is based in Amsterdam, from where new international business is being developed and a fast-growing team of about 180 people, works energetically on the Rooftop Revolution. We have a “no drama” environment. We’re prepared for the fact that no two days will be similar on this adventure, and we’re committed to make the most of our opportunity, ourselves and each other.
