The Position

As our Senior Marketer & Account Manager, your responsibility is to take the strategic partnership with our number 1 partner Engie to the next level. In light of our ambition to power 5 million lives with solar, and the enormous potential this partnership has to fulfill that ambition, your challenge is to lift the partnership’s performance in Belgium.

You take the lead in identifying new opportunities for growth, creating new channels and developing new propositions. In cooperation with Engie you develop, structure and plan (online) marketing campaigns. You are the center of all matters related to the partnership, ensuring an insanely positive partnership experience. Our partner trusts you with every issue, and you ensure that issues are resolved to both parties’ satisfaction. 

Finaly, you are the constant creator of a positive team vibe, thinking of creative ways to keep the optimism and fun in the partnership team.

In short the Senior Marketer & Account Manager is responsible for:

  • Delivering (online) marketing campaigns, briefing and instructing all involved stakeholders and responsible departments. All in line with approved business and marketing strategy and based on the provided (market)analyses;
  • Ensuring solid account management by continuously identifying and following up on partner needs;
  • Identifying opportunities to develop additional channels and or products that boost the partnership’s performance, ensuring that the project/product results meet the anticipated marketing, technical and financial objectives;
  • Analysing the performance of the partnership (channels), not afraid to ask difficult questions and get to the core or non-performance, always with the attitude to improve the collective performance;
  • Good program and project management, that allow the partnership to efficiently deliver on its targets;
  • Preparing the weekly, monthly and Steering Committee meetings, ensuring we keep track of performance vs. target;
  • Team development: using appropriate communication styles and techniques to develop a lively and collaborative partnership team atmosphere; managing disputes and conflict to the best possible solution; demonstrating awareness of team dynamics.

Within this role you will be situated partly in Amsterdam and partly in Belgium.


Are you the person we are looking for?

We are looking for someone with a broad experience in marketing. And besides that somebody with commercial skills, experience in strategic channel management B2C, capable of managing multiple projects at the same time, positive and engaging work attitude and exceptional relationship building skills. Solar industry experience is preferred but not strictly necessary. Essential requirements include:

  • Master's degree in business, marketing or related field;

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills in both Flemish and English (+French is an advantage);

  • You have at least 5 year experience in management of B2B campaigns;

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to think strategically as well execute directly;

  • Understanding of structuring (online) marketing campaigns;

  • Experience in managing and optimising marketing campaigns;

  • You can effectively cope with change; can decide and act without having the total picture; does not get upset when things are up in the air; can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
