Transforming our organization

Currently, we are transforming our organization from a functionally structured organization towards an end-to-end oriented one. This has led to multidisciplinary Network Teams, centred around customer segments. These teams are end-to-end responsible for reaching their targets. The different skills in the Network Teams are coordinated and coached horizontally, by Chapter Leads.

Your Role

The Sales Excellence Manager will be part of the B2C Management Team. This team further consists of the Head of B2C and four Network Team Leads. These Network Team Leads are responsible for the P&L of their team. You will provide the Teams with optimally trained Sales and Remote Solar Design professionals, inventive sales tactics, commercial insights and process improvements. You are the Commercial Consciousness of the organization.

In order to reach your goals, you will lead a team of Chapter Leads. Each Chapter Lead leads a group of professionals with the same skill set: Pre-sales and Solar Consultants and Remote Solar Designers for each country in which we are active. You ensure that each skill is at the highest possible level, capacity is managed and Chapter Leads provide optimal coaching and training to their Chapter members. We’re looking for an experienced Sales (Excellence) Manager (5+ years of experience), who likes to be part of our ambitious team, and will be constantly challenging our sales tactics, pricing and commercial strategy.

Your job will be to;

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics for our Network Teams, in order for them to reach the best possible results and be the best friend in energy for their customer segments;

  • Lead Chapter Leads and Specialists: you will lead and coach approximately 5 Chapter Leads, a Process Specialist and an (external) Training & Development Specialist;

  • Coach and train individual sales professionals to help them embrace a growth mindset and become stellar at sales;

  • Together with the Training & Development Specialist, set up a Sungevity Academy for continuous learning. We want our people to be the best in class;

  • Own the pricing strategies and implementation of new price lists for all Network Teams, in order to optimally position Sungevity’s proposition to grow profitably;

  • Coordinate process improvements across the Network Teams: together with our Process Specialist and the rest of the B2C organization, you evaluate what processes need to be harmonized and/or improved, and coordinate implementation across network teams;

  • Safeguard the interface with other departments: you will design policies and measures to ensure that the B2C organization is optimally connected with all other parts of the organization, including the Customer Care and Installation departments.


Are you the person we are looking for?

  • You have at least a Bachelor's degree;

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in sales;

  • You have great communication skills in Dutch (native speaking) & English;

  • You are great at inspiring and coaching sales professionals;

  • You have experience in complex, fast changing organizations with a high level of ambiguity;

  • You are a self-starter and eager to surprise us with state of the art sales strategies and tactics;

  • You have experience leading indirectly, through team leads;

  • You have experience in working in an agile environment and can lead the way in our transformation;
