What to expect of the Technology & Innovation department?
The Technology & Innovation team has great humour (really we do). We support each other, and we love to learn from each other. We like to hang out together: we go for drinks or do other fun activities.
We have 3 roles in our department:
IT Helpdesk Technician
Full Stack Developers
Our department has 12 members, consisting of 5 nationalities! We are currently implementing Odoo ERP, with which we are transitioning from a heavily customized environment to a mainly standard ERP/CRM environment. We work in an agile way, aiming to keep the time between designing a solution and having it online as short as possible. We prefer simple over complicated solutions. The Technology & Innovation department is self-organizing, and we expect you to actively participate in improving the team and our way of working. The department is active in all parts of our business, from sales to installations, from customer portals to solar-system performance monitoring. You will be supported by, and reporting to the Head of Technology & Innovation in this role.
Assist the business in defining and analyzing a problem when a department reaches out to you with a business improvement request. Help the business in defining clear requirements for a solution;
Come up with your own ideas on how to better support the business processes and how these processes can be automated. In other words: translating business needs into IT solutions;
Feasibility studies: investigate multiple potential solutions for strategic and operational improvements and advise on the best solution;
Investigate existing solutions or platforms that could solve the business problem;
Configure, test and train key-users in Odoo and other standard applications to support new or changed business processes;
You will be involved in both support of standard (ERP/CRM) applications, enhancements, projects and BI/Data Analytics;
If it’s decided to build software ourselves to solve a problem, help the software development team in designing the solution and creating user stories;
Support colleagues during the process of solution implementation;
Keep the business and the Technology & Innovation department aligned and on board during these projects;
Stakeholder management and alignment.
HBO/WO thinking and working level;
Preferably 2-3 years working experience in a similar position;
Good understanding and experience of how IT can be used to solve business problems;
You prefer simplicity over complexity;
Able to work independently;
Fluent in English;
You communicate easily with people across all levels of the organization to better understand the problem, or explain the chosen solution;
Strong stakeholder management skills;
You negotiate and consult effectively;
Strong interpersonal skills;
CBAP or other IIBA certifications are a plus.
